Prof. Jincai Chen, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China

Research Area: New storage theory and technology, Big data storage and analysis, Machine learning, Image processing and emotional computing



Jincai Chen, doctoral supervisor. Presided over or participated in 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of national key basic research and development plan (973), 2 projects of national high technology research and development plan (863), 1 project of doctoral program special fund of Ministry of education, 1 project of postdoctoral special fund of Hubei Province and 5 projects of enterprise cooperation research. He has published more than 60 academic papers in important academic journals and international academic conferences at home and abroad. 12 national invention patents have been applied. From January 2001 to January 2003, he was engaged in postdoctoral research in the National Laboratory of external storage system of Huazhong University of science and technology, under the guidance of Professor Zhang Jiangling. He has been engaged in machine reasoning, distributed artificial intelligence, distributed and parallel computing, video service network, digital television broadcasting, network storage and other fields.The main research directions are: new storage technology, computer network, network storage, embedded system, digital media technology, etc.

Prof. Yiwen Liang, Wuhan University, China

Research Area: Computer Application, Database, Network security



Yiwen Liang, Professor of Wuhan University. The research fields include artificial immune system, database theory, network security, logic programming, etc. He has been engaged in distributed database research, network construction and network software research, evolutionary computing learning and application research, etc. He mainly taught advanced language programming, introduction to database, Linux analysis, operating system, object-oriented programming, etc. for under  aduates, and taught database theory and design and application software design for postgraduates. Participated in the configuration and construction of many large-scale computer laboratories, domestic and foreign computer exchange activities, and cultivated many excellent computer talents. At present, some projects have been obtained in the national 12.5 plan and are under active planning.

Prof. Shi Ying, Wuhan University, China

Research Area: The operation and maintenance management of large complex software system based on artificial intelligence, analysis and Optimization in software engineering based on intelligent algorithm, machine learning and big data analysis.



Shi Ying, Professor of Wuhan University. In 2000, he was selected as the national Ministry of education backbone teacher funding program. In 2003, it was supported by Hubei young outstanding talents fund. From 2003 to 2008, he served as deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of software engineering of Wuhan University, executive vice director of the State Key Laboratory of software engineering of Wuhan University since 2008, and vice president of Computer College of Wuhan University since 2009. Research direction: the main research directions include web service oriented software development methods, aspect oriented software development methods, semantic software development technology, software development methods in cloud computing era, etc. He has won the second prize of national science and technology progress, the first prize of Hubei science and technology progress, the second prize of excellent academic paper of Natural Science in Hubei Province, the second prize of Hubei science and technology progress, the third prize of Hubei science and technology progress, and the third prize of Wuhan Science and technology progress.

Prof. Nikolaos M. Freris, University of Science and Technology of China



Nick Freris is Professor in the School of Computer Science at USTC, and Vice Dean of the International College.. He received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2005, and the M.S.degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, the M.S. degree in Mathematics, and the Ph.D.degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign(UIUC) in 2007, 2008, and 2010, respectively. His research lies in AIoT/CPS/IoT: machine learning, distributed optimization, data mining, wireless networks, control, and signal processing, with applications in power systems, sensornetworks, transportation, cyber security, and robotics. Dr. Freris has published several papers in high-profile conferences and journals held by IEEE, ACM, and SIAM.

Prof. Aiping Xu, Wuhan University, China

Research Area:  GIS and spatial information processing


Aiping Xu, Professor, School of computer science, Wuhan University. In 2003, he was elected as the outstanding Party member of the college, and vice director and branch secretary of the computer engineering department from 2006 to 2009. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research of GIS and spatial information processing, and has led his graduate students to complete many large-scale projects. Among them, he has presided over the GIS related projects, such as "database management and analysis system for the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River" and "water and soil conservation monitoring database system for the Danjiangkou reservoir area"; he has his own unique opinions on spatiotemporal statistical analysis, and has participated in the "heterogeneous spatiotemporal data processing" He also presided over the natural science foundation of Hubei Province "Research on forest fire risk grade distribution based on spatiotemporal statistics". On the basis of the research, he has obtained one technical invention patent, three software copyrights, edited three undergraduate auxiliary textbooks, translated one original work published by Springer, published more than 30 research papers in domestic and foreign academic journals and conferences, and served as reviewer of several domestic and foreign journals and international conferences, as well as project evaluation expert of NSFC.
